Celebrating 75 Years of
Myers Park High School
2026 marks a historic milestone for Myers Park High School as we celebrate the 75th anniversary of the school’s opening. For three quarters of a century, Myers Park has stood as a cornerstone of academic excellence and opportunity in Charlotte, shaping generations of students who have gone on to lead, innovate, and serve their communities with distinction.
The Myers Park High School Foundation will host a week long celebration in September 2026 for students, staff, community, and alumni.

September 25
Home Football Game vs Charlotte Country Day
Special anniversary home football game in with a 7 PM kickoff in Gus Purcell Stadium: MPHS fans can come cheer on the Mustangs under the lights. There will be pregame socializing, alumni seating and recognition as generations of Mustangs are celebrated.
September 26
Alumni Celebration and Global Reunion
From 11:30 AM - 2:00 PM, alumni will be welcomed back to the MPHS Quad on campus. Class gathering areas, school memorabilia, a DJ playing hits from the ages, and food available for purchase will provide the perfect setting to reconnect with classmates and revisit cherished memories. There is no charge to attend this event.
September 26
MPHS 75th Anniversary Celebration
From 4:30 PM - 7:00 PM, the celebration continues for the entire MPHS community —past and present— with a ticketed program in Gus Purcell Stadium featuring live music by the Bad Daddies, games, food trucks, speakers, recognition of past and present staff, and a celebration of the traditions that have defined Myers Park for 75 years.
