Celebrating 75 Years of
Myers Park High School
2026 marks a historic milestone for Myers Park High School as we celebrate the 75th anniversary of the school’s opening. For three quarters of a century, Myers Park has stood as a cornerstone of academic excellence and opportunity in Charlotte, shaping generations of students who have gone on to lead, innovate, and serve their communities with distinction.
The Myers Park High School Foundation will host a week long celebration in September 2026 for students, staff, community, and alumni.
Registration and tickets will be availabe in August.

Home Football Game
Special anniversary home football game in Gus Purcell Stadium: MPHS fans can come cheer on the Mustangs under the lights. There will be alumni seating and recognition as generations of Mustangs are celebrated.

75th Anniversary Celebration and Global Reunion
From 11:30 AM - 2:00 PM, alumni will be welcomed back to the MPHS Quad on campus. Class gathering areas, school memorabilia, and food available for purchase will provide the perfect setting to reconnect with classmates and revisit cherished memories.

MPHS 75th Anniversary Celebration
At 4:30 p.m., the celebration continues for the entire MPHS community —past and present— with a ticketed program in Gus Purcell Stadium featuring live music, games, food trucks, speakers, recognition of past and present students and staff, and a celebration of the traditions that have defined Myers Park for 75 years. Tickets will be available for purchase at the end of August.
